ScPrime Mac WebWallet Guide
This guide will show you how to install and setup the ScPrime WebWallet on a Mac. Note this guide will just go through the basics of getting it installed and up and running as well as using the Transporter.
To start off we need to download the MacOS WebWallet from https://scpri.me/software/. If you have an Intel based Mac, download the Mac(x64) version. If you have an Apple Silicon Mac (with an M1, M2 or M3 CPU), download the Mac(Arm) version.
For the purposes of this guide, we’ll download the Apple Silicon variant but the process is exactly the same for Intel based Macs. Once we’ve done that we have the zip file in our Downloads folder, double click the zip file to unzip it and then move the file to your home folder (can be run from any folder really).
Now we can see we have a ‘scp-webwallet-v1.0.0-darwin-arm64’ folder in our home folder, if we go into that folder we see the following files as shown below.
The first time you run the scp-webwallet app, you need to right click on it and select Open.
You’ll see the following error box pop up.
Click Cancel, right click the scp-webwallet app again and Open, this time you’ll see the following box pop up.
Click Open and then Allow in the following box as shown below.
Next you’ll see a new browser tab open up (this is different to previous versions of the WebWallet) and see the screen belop if it’s a fresh install and no consensus copy is found.
To download a copy of the current blockchain you can either use the Bootstrap option to download an up to date zip copy of the blockchain from the scpri.me servers or you can use Build to build a copy of the blockchain directly from other nodes on the network. For either option you’ll get a progress bar showing the download happening.
Once downloaded you’ll be taken to the main screen as shown below.
For simply setting up a new Wallet, choose the ‘Create New Wallet’ option. That takes us to this page where we need to give the wallet a name and then enter a password and confirm it. Make sure to make a note of the name and password as next time opening the WebWallet you will need these details.
Then click on Create New Wallet. You’ll then see it initializing the wallet which again takes a few mins.
Once complete you’ll be presented with the main WebWallet Transactions page.
VERY IMPORTANT – SAVE YOUR SEED
Before you do anything else, you should save the new recovery seed phrase for your wallet. Click on My Wallet -> Recover Seed.
This will show you your wallet’s recovery seed phrase. Make sure to make a note of this and keep it safe so you are able to recover your SCP and SPF coins in the case of no longer being back to access the WebWallet on this Mac for example, they can always be recovered from a new wallet using the recovery seed phrase.
If you had a previous version of the WebWallet installed on the computer and you’ve upgraded to the 1.0.0 version, then from the main screen, simply select Unlock Wallet and input your wallet name and password you used previously. This will open up your existing wallet and take you to the Transactions list.
Sending SPF to the Transporter
To send SPF which are qualified for the Initial Tranche to the Transporter onto Solana and get the new D2X tokens, you will first be required to set up a Solana wallet like Phantom or Solflare for example and have the Solana wallet address. You will also need a very small amount of SCP in the wallet to pay the transaction fee, 1SCP is more than enough, even 0.001SCP is enough to cover it. Once you have that, click on Send & Receive -> Send To Transporter.
In the Transport Type, select Initial Tranche. Click in the Pre-approved Address drop down which appears next to it and select your whitelisted wallet address. This will also display your allowance, this is the maximum amount of SPF that you can send in the Initial Tranche. In the Currency Type drop down, select whether you are sending SPF-A or SPF-B and then enter the amount you wish to send (note the 100 minimum send amount) up to your maximum allowance.
Optionally you can also connect your Solana wallet to the WebWallet using the Connect Wallet button in the top right and select the Solana wallet you have installed and follow the prompts in that app to give the WebWallet access to it. This will then automatically fill in the Solana address when sending to the Transporter.
Then click Send Coins.
And after a few seconds you’ll see the transaction show in the Transporter History section.
The Status will now go through 4 stages:
- Burn Broadcasted
- Submitted to Transporter
- In the Queue
- Completed
Note after reaching stage 2 it will take around 2-3 hours before moving to stage 3 and then 4. Only once it’s reached stage 4 will you now see your D2X tokens in your Solana wallet.
Note:- Unclaimed SCP which your SPF have been earning will appear in the wallet you sent the SPF from approx 24 hours (144 confirmations) after the send. If you sent SPF-B from a provider wallet to a new WebWallet, then the unclaimed SCP will appear in the provider wallet, there won’t be any unclaimed SCP in the WebWallet for the few days the SPF-B were in it when you send the SPF to the Transporter.
